Leo Richardson is the son of veteran jazz bassist Jim Richardson and a former student of Trinity College of Music where he achieved a a 1st class degree with honours in Jazz Performance. "Tenor saxophonist Leo Richardson has been raising eyebrows around the scene for some time now, notably in the Late Late Show at Ronnie Scott’s, but biding his time about making his first album. I’ve just played it twice, end to end, and I can’t remember hearing a more impressive debut. The energy of it is quite ferocious at times, but all under control and technically perfect." Dave Gelly - The Observer. "I have known Leo Richardson for several years and in my view he is destined to become one of the finest jazz tenor saxophone players this country has produced. He has a rare natural talent" - Alan Skidmore.
